Located in Canada's capital city of Ottawa and established in 1985, OZ Optics Limited is a leading worldwide supplier of fiber optic products for existing and next-generation optical networks. In addition to designing and manufacturing components and test equipment for fiber optic markets, the company has also been very active in developing fiber optic sensors for remote monitoring of oil pipelines, wells, bridges, dams, airplanes, and other large structures. Not only was OZ Optics' the first company to introduce polarization maintaining components and test equipment to the marketplace, it was also the first company to integrate wireless technology into its designs of remote fiber optic measurement systems and instruments. By leveraging the technology and expertise gained since its inception in 1985, OZ Optics has attracted a broad range of customers in the telecommunications, cable television, medical, military, industrial, aerospace, petrochemical and educational sectors. Along with a family of fiber lasers for EDFA amplifiers, telecom, and CATV applications, the company has also developed fiber lasers for cutting and marking applications. These may also be suitable for tattoo removal, laser surgery or other medical applications.

OZ sells into more than fifty countries around the world and to a wide range of industries including telecommunications and cable television markets, which we broadly define as the telecommunications field, and the medical, military, aerospace, industrial and educational markets, which we broadly define as the non-telecommunications field.

OZ Optics head office is located in Ottawa, Canada with a manufacturing, research and development, administration facility with more than 100,000 square feet. The company has sales offices in New Jersey, Florida, California, and China. OZ Optics also, established a manufacturing in Turkey and it is in the process of adding a new manufacturing facility in Tucson, Arizona by the beginning of 2006. All while the Company maintains partnerships with distributors and resellers in 31 countries.
